I am a big fan of glasgows sub club and I consider this to the cities only decent underground proper music club. The atmosphere in the venue slaps you in the face as soon as you walk in the door and the clientele are always looking to have a good night. Speaks volumes that I have been going there for 10 years now and never once have I seen any trouble, an unusual claim for any establishment with a ‘G’ postcode. Funnily enough, I used to play snooker with the previous owner Kenny every Friday night at the Q club (no relation!) without realising he owned the place. Kenny sadly passed away, he was such a nice guy, although you would never have known that he was in the night club business! I am afraid to admit that my clubbing days are sadly a fond memory now although I have thought about saying ‘goodbye’ to the sub club properly with one last visit!

if they have only raised their price by 2.2% can they tell us why PUNCH have increased prices which require a £0.40 increase in a pent of Tennents lager?

We just had dinner at the Ardeonaig hotel to celebrate an anniversary. I will certainly recommend it to our luxury self catering customers, friends and family for a special dinner or formal lunch. We chose the tasting menu as we could not decide. The dishes were full of delicious and exciting flavours, colour and texture. Ross Miller the chef did a first class job and everyone on hand was friendly and paid careful attention to ensure us of a lovely evening. If word gets out and the standards are maintained the reputation of the hotel should spread far and wide.
